Pass State Park. 11100 Gulfshore Drive, Naples, 239-597-6196. This park's
mile-long stretch of white sugar sand has been rated as one of the best beaches
in the nation. The beach is popular for sunbathing, swimming, beachcombing, snorkeling,
and picnicking. Fishing at the beach along Wiggins Pass, where swimming is not
allowed, is another popular activity. Boaters can launch their vessels into Water
Turkey Bay and travel to the Gulf or up the Cocohatchee River. Kayakers can enjoy
paddling through estuaries; scuba divers can explore the hard bottom reef in the
Gulf. NOTE: To avoid overcrowding during the busy winter season, the park closes
its gates when it reaches maximum capacity. Located in North Naples five miles
west of I-75-exit 111. Admission is $5.00 for up to 8 people per car, or the single
occupant vehicle entrance fee is $3.00.The park is open from 8 a.m. until sundown

of pets, and all of them have had a medical exam, testing and treatments when
necessary. Included in the adoption price is the pet's current vaccinations, sterilization

Naples Nature Center offers hands-on exhibits, guided electric boat tours, a Wildlife
Rehabilitation Center, nature trails and a Nature Store. Presentations on snakes,
turtles, coastal environments, sea shells and other environmental topics are offered
daily. The Environmental Education Division fosters conservation awareness through
school programs, field trips, special events and an annual summer camp program.

Pier, The historic Naples Pier is located on the Gulf of Mexico at the West
end of 12th Avenue South. A favorite location of fishermen, the Naples Pier features
a concession stand and bait shop, and fishing from the pier does not require a
fishing license, as the City of Naples has purchased a bulk fishing license for
the pier. The beach at the pier also features volleyball nets, and is one of the
